Creativity, Health and Safety Combine
for a Ground-Breaking GWS

Dear Friends,

One month from today I will be at The Breakers Palm Beach, ready to welcome those of you able to travel to the 14th annual Global Wellness Summit. For many reasons, this is going to be a historic and unique event!

I want to say first, that I will miss many of you whose borders are closed to international travel—and I will especially miss your hugs! Physical distancing comes with its own set of challenges, but we’re meeting those challenges with creativity and a commitment to maintain the global nature of the event.

This is the year that we will be “Resetting the World with Wellness.” And I am excited that we will do it together. We intend to leave this Summit with the information needed to create a road map for the future—a clear path forward that is the result of three days of intensive discussion, global interactions, deep connection and a good deal of fun. In the process, we’re creating a new model for gatherings and events, using new wellness technologies that we will share with you in coming days.

An important note: to ensure this is a safe conference, capacity is limited. We encourage you to register soon.

A Model for a Healthy Conference

As you approach the ballroom, in addition to having a temperature check, you will pass through The Healthe Entry™, which uses UVC 222 light to protect any indoor space against viruses and bacteria at the point of entry. (You simply walk through the doorway wearing your stylish mask!) This extraordinary technology—not yet released to the general public—is being donated to the Summit by Healthe, and we could not be more grateful to have this next-level protection. In addition to the point of entry, we are installing Healthe technology throughout the ballroom to protect the air we breathe and surfaces we touch. You will hear more from the innovators behind this science during the Summit.

Now that you’re inside the ballroom, you will quickly discover that the mornings of the Summit once again feature the business and thought leaders who are shaping the industry. However…you may be sitting on a stability ball or a recumbent bike instead of a banquet chair. A big thank you to Victor and Lynne Brick of the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation for helping to transform the ballroom at The Breakers into a series of wellness spaces, which underscore the Summit’s commitment to “walk the walk.” There will also be regular seating, appropriately spaced, of course.

Our Commitment to a Safe Summit

Please know that nothing is more important than our collective health and safety and we are taking extraordinary measures to mitigate risk. We have a team that is second to none, including Dr. Richard Carmona, 17th U.S. Surgeon General, who is the GWS Medical Advisor this year. Together with The Breakers, which already exceeds every guideline for health and safety in a hotel environment, we are adding other protections in addition to those already in place. (You can learn more here.)

We look forward to seeing you in Palm Beach at this landmark Summit. And please watch for an exciting announcement on Thursday. (Spoiler alert, I think you will be thrilled by the news!)

Warm regards,
Nancy
