The World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy (FEMTEC) is pleased to announce The 77th Annual FEMTEC Scientific Congress and General Assembly, to be held in Aix-les-Bains, France, from 4 to 6 November 2026, jointly organized with the annual scientific days of the French Society of Thermalism and Climatism.
The Congress will be organized in a hybrid format (in person and online), supported by contemporary digital communication technologies, including simultaneous translation solutions and QR-based access to selected materials, to enhance international participation and accessibility.
Under the theme “Balneology and Cutting-Edge Technologies: Shaping the Road to 2034”, the Congress will bring together clinicians, researchers, academic institutions, health authorities and thermal sector stakeholders to explore how advanced technologies can support scientific evidence, personalized care, digital transformation and sustainable development in balneology, while preserving its human-centred foundations.
The reference to 2034 reflects the ten-year horizon defined by the official working document adopted in 2025 by the World Health Organization, WHO Global Strategy on Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine 2025–2034, providing a shared strategic framework for reflection and international cooperation.

According to applicable international regulations and the FEMTEC Statute, the General Assembly of World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy (FEMTEC) shall be held during the Congress. The convening of the FEMTEC General Assembly, including its date, venue and time, shall be communicated in due course.
