 Priority Areas of Rehabilitation and Balneology XII Scientific and Practical Conference September 26-27, 2025 in Astana, Kazakhstan
The Association of Rehabilitologists and Balneologists, in collaboration with the National Scientific Center for the Development of Social Protection, will host the XII Scientific and Practical Conference “Priority Areas of Rehabilitation and Balneology” with international participation on September 26-27, 2025 in Astana, Kazakhstan, in person.
The program will cover:
• Application of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in comprehensive rehabilitation and balneology; • Innovative rehabilitation methods: botulinum therapy, virtual reality technologies, remote rehabilitation, atypical prosthetics, hearing aids; • Neurological disabling conditions and their management: epilepsy, SMA, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy; • Selection of assistive and rehabilitation devices based on human functioning; • The role of multidisciplinary teams in rehabilitation and balneology.
Participation is open to scientists, healthcare professionals, rehabilitation specialists, industry representatives, and policymakers from around the world.
The conference will feature prominent international experts:
Natalia Chaurskaya-Solimene, Director of the Department of International Relations of FEMTEC, will speak on “Historical milestones of FEMTEC and its role in the development of international relations in balneology.”
Dr. Stefano Masiero will present on “Smart telerehabilitation systems for musculoskeletal disorders: a bridge between hospitals, home care and health resort treatment.”
The organizer of the conference, Professor Sholpan Bulekbayeva, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Vice-President of FEMTEC, will deliver a lecture on “Application of innovative technical means of rehabilitation at home in accordance with the principles of the International Classification of Functioning.”
Mark Draper from the United Kingdom will present on “Assistive equipment for proper positioning.”
Dr. Gao Feng from China will speak on “Traditional Chinese medicine in pediatric neurology.”
Agata Bonn from Germany will deliver a presentation on “The ExoPulse neuromodulation suit: advanced technology and new opportunities.” |
