Report of the XI International Congress "Sanatorium and Resort Treatment" May 29-30 2025 - Moscow
The XI International Congress "Sanatorium and Resort Treatment" was organized by the National Research Center for Rehabilitation and Buralology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. It was attended by 650 people from 164 resort cities of Russia and 9 countries
190 reports were made on various topics. The main emphasis was on clinical and fundamental research in balneology, based on the evidence base and taking into account their practical application. The program report on the topic "The role of sanatorium and resort complexes of the Russian Federation in the implementation of national projects" was made by Mikhail A. Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation.

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a list of resorts of federal importance, which includes 57 territories. The total number of sanatoriums is -1740 with 460,000 beds.
The Congress was attended by heads of resort institutions from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and South Ossetia. They shared their experience in organizing resort services to the population and touched upon the main problems of further development of this industry in their countries.
Among the interesting topics and primary tasks presented in the reports are several: "Modern approach to the study of the mechanisms of therapeutic action of mineral waters", "Evidence studies on the use of climate therapy in clinical practice", "Modern methods of thalassotherapy", "Natural physical factors in the complex medical rehabilitation of cardiac patients", "Basic approaches to individual prevention and formation of a healthy lifestyle".

Much attention was paid to the problems of the material and technical base of sanatorium and spa treatment and ensuring integrated security, as well as the development of digital infrastructure for resort management and the use of artificial intelligence.

Representatives of FEMTEK also took part in the Congress: Dr. Markus Koplin, President of the Balneological Association of North America BANA (USA) made an online report on the topic "Concept and Ideas for the Future of Spa Medicine", and Natalia Chaurskaya (Solimene), Head of the International Relations Department of FEMTEC, made a presentation of the 76th General Assembly and the FEMTEC Scientific Congress in Fuzhou (China) from November 17 to 19, 2025.
