Medical Health Resort Industry. Science and Results All-Russian Congress - December 4-5, 2024 The VI All-Russian Congress “Medical Health Resort Industry. Science and Results” was held in Moscow as part of the RUSSIAN HEALTH CARE WEEK, in which colleagues from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, China, Abkhazia, Vietnam, Bulgaria and other countries took part. The main sections of this healthcare week and the accompanying exhibition were: “Health care”, “Healthy lifestyle”, “Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry”, “Medical and Wellness Service” and “Medical tourism”. The main topic of the international section was devoted to the issues of organizing a health improvement system at resorts and the prospects for further development of this industry. Vice-presidents of FEMTEK Dr. Sholpan Bulekbayeva and Dr. Florana Menendez took part in the work of the Congress. In their reports, they touched upon issues related to rehabilitation at the resorts of Kazakhstan and the possibilities of health tourism in Cuba. Dr. Natalia Chaurskaya made a report: "The contribution of FEMTEK to the development of international relations in the field of thermalism".
A magnificent panorama of healing springs of mineral waters was presented by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Abkhazia Mr. Eduard Butba, and Dr. Nguyen Dinh Thi, Head of the Department of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine of the BRICS Health University, spoke about the unique method of facial acupuncture Dien Chan. In the report of the Rector of the Academy of Traditional Medicine Dr. Svetlana Ivanova, a strategy for the development of modern, traditional and integrative medicine was outlined. As we can see, the list of topics and problems covered in the reports is very diverse, which indicates that "balneology" is a huge industry covering numerous aspects of medicine and exerting a colossal influence on the development of multiple branches of science, technology, pharmacology, sociology and other disciplines. In total, about 250 people from different regions of Russia were present in the hall during the two days of the Congress. Around 10,000 different sanatoriums, firms and enterprises working in the resort industry took part in the exhibition.
