Brief information about Belokurikha

The first mention of hot mineral springs that brought fame to Belokurikha dates back to 1867, when the Altai researcher Stepan Gulyaev published an article about healing springs. Subsequently, numerous studies were conducted on the activity of radon water and its use in the treatment of various pathologies.
The thermal springs of Belokurikha are nitrogen-silicon radon-containing waters that come to the surface at t30 and t40 degrees. They contain a small amount of radon and a lot of nitrogen, fluorine and silicic acid, as well as various microelements. The city has more than 40 medical institutions operating all year round, which can accommodate 5.6 thousand patients at a time. Main pathologies:
- diseases of the nervous and endocrine systems
- diseases of the heart and blood vessels
- diseases of the respiratory system and ENT organs
- diseases of the musculoskeletal and muscular systems
- diseases of the gastrointestinal tract
- gynecological and dermatological diseases
Recently, alpine skiing tourism has been developing in Belokurikha, open from December to March.
