FEMTEC - Main Lecture on Balneology
An International Summer school, dedicated to personalized medicine, integrated medicine and innovation, took place at the Medical State University of Orenburg in the period 19-24 August. A special session was organized for balneology and rehabilitation: invited speaker Prof. Umberto Solimene, President of FEMTEC.
The Orenburg Medical University is one of the most important Centers of the Russian Federationin operating in that field, with more than 5000 students from many Countries (Kazkstan, China, India, Vietnam).
In the opening session, the welcome adress was presented by the Vice Governor V.Bashirova, the Ministry of Health of the Region, Dr.G. Zolnikova and the President Prof. I. Miroschicenko.
After his lecture (Balneology in the world) Prof. Solimene had the opportunity to visit some important and well organized Clinics and Health Resorts of the Region, like the Clinic Hospital N.2, the Hemodialysis Center, the Sanatorium "Forest of Oak" (Children Rehabilitation Center). Very interesting also the visit to the "ipobaric camera" Center (URAL 1 - see photo), unique in Europe for dimension, focused on clinical researches on childrens' bronchial asma.
Also unique in Europe the Mineral Complex of three salt lakes, with high concentration of NaCl (more than 340g/l - see photo), used for the treatment of different pathologies (skin, respiratory deseases, etc) in the Sanatorium "Sol-Ilezki", very well equipped and managed.
Orenburg, is a russian city, founded 275 years ago. Geographically it is the border between Europa and Asia (the Eurasia Bridge is very famous).
After the professional visits and meetings, it was decided to sign a Cooperation agreement between the Orenburg Region and Femtec in different fields of activities.
